BURLESQUE PERFORMER AND PRESIDENT

2015 - 2016

From 2015 to 2016 I was the President of the Sheffield University Burlesque Society. My dream was to create a safe, comfortable environment for anyone wanting to perform. It became a society of a diverse range of women (although all genders are welcome) supporting each other, crafting their art, and exploring their expression of sexuality and body confidence. In 2016 I handed over the reins and the society has now become The Steel City Sirens

PAPER ACCEPTED TO ESPP CONFERENCE

2018

My Paper: Abstract Emotions: Emotional Reaction to Abstract Art was accepted to be presented at the 2018 ESPP conference in Rijeka. Unfortunately I was unable to attend.

UNDERSTANDING VALUE VII

18th-20th July 2018

I presented my paper Abstract Emotion at the Understanding Value conference at The University of Sheffield. My paper explores how our emotional reactions to abstract art differ from both our every day emotional reactions, and to reactions to representational and non-abstract art.

I was asked to be a part of an editorial for Teeth Magazine, providing representation of queer women in media and the arts.
